Beautiful and highly unusual set of four antique carved oak dining chairs believed to date to the early 1900s. These chairs feature incredible hand-carved “Green Man” style faces with ornate scrollwork, turned spindle backs, and rich solid oak construction throughout.
The detailed carvings give these chairs a dramatic Old World / Gothic Revival / Jacobean appearance that makes them true statement pieces. The craftsmanship and heavy solid wood construction are difficult to find in modern furniture.
All four chairs are marked “Made in Canada” carved directly into the wood.

Condition: Good antique condition overall with age-appropriate wear consistent with use and age. One chair is missing a wooden connector/support piece where the seat meets the chair back (shown clearly in photos). The remaining chairs are structurally solid. There is general finish wear, scuffing, and patina throughout consistent with authentic antique furniture.
